The workshops introduce young participants to the beauty and meaning of Congolese traditional fashion while giving them hands‑on skills and a platform to shine in a celebratory community fashion show.

Programme Aims: Strengthen the artistic skills and careers of Congolese musicians
The Congolese Arts Development Programme brings together eight Congolese artist‑musicians from Birmingham and the Black Country to develop their creative practice, strengthen cultural visibility, and deliver community impact. Through training, workshops, and public performances, the programme supports artistic excellence while engaging young people, families, and underrepresented communities across the Midlands. It celebrates Congolese musical heritage and contributes to a more diverse and vibrant regional arts landscape.

Congolese Traditional Ballet Dance is one of the most effective tools for engaging young people in the UK. It strengthens cultural identity, builds confidence, and creates safe spaces where young people can express themselves, learn discipline, and connect with their heritage.
